{ PHOTOSHOP FRIDAY }

This photo shoot was so much fun! I was excited to play around with my apertures while shooting, and boy what a difference it makes in the look of the pictures. Getting the creamy smooth backgrounds with subject isolation is what it's all about. I have been enjoying the blending modes inside of photo shop. They are a great resource for customizing your look.

I'm soooooooooo behind on blogging right now. Oooodles of weddings and sessions to post in the future! I am also getting really close to launching my NEW BLOG!!!!

Don't you just want to reach in and grab a juicy peach?!!

{ PHOTOSHOP FRIDAY }

This photograph was taken after the sun had gone down!! I am in love with my 85mm 1.4 lens and the light gathering capabilities it has. The ISO on the D700 is very impressive and made it possible for me to be taking pictures that looked as though it was 4:00 in the afternoon as opposed to 9:00 at night! Plus the 85mm gets superb bokeh and creamy tones that are to die for!! I highly reccomend this lens if you can pick one up!! It's been a favorite of mine, perfect for portraits!! Photoshop allowed me to warm it up, sharpen it up, add richness, and lighten areas that needed to be boosted a bit. Photoshop is an amazing and powerful tool!! It makes or breaks ALL of my photos. But that is because I prefer a very processed look and could never achieve what I do without it!

{ PHOTOSHOP FRIDAY }

WOW... I have been a very busy lady this summer and have much to post in the coming weeks! I have been so surprised by the response I have had for my mentoring. I love teaching others and enjoy the satisfaction in helping others learn the tools to make their photos look amazing! It really isn't as hard as you might think, I promise it's not brain surgery. It is a simple process, a set of steps, and then practice!!

I have a couple beauties to share with you today! The first picture looked pretty good strait out of camera. But the tones were a little to orange for my taste. I love creamy smooth skin, so I went in that direction. I am also obsessed with changing the tones of my pictures.

This picture needed to be straitened up a bit and it just needed a more artistic look. So I decided to add some contrast, cream up the skin and tones of the picture, add a texture, add a rainbow, and a slight sun flare/sun haze. It all comes together to make the picture have a more artistic look rather than just a photograph. Photoshop is an amazing tool!

{ MY VINTAGE TREASURES }

I've had these photographs done for a while now, thought I would finally get around to posting them! I have been loving everything vintage lately. I hope this style stays around for a long time because it's just cool! My children and my family are my whole life. These three sweeties are all mine and I adore each one of them and their unique and different personalities!
